Ceftriaxone Injection is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used for treating moderate to severe bacterial infections. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria and preventing the spread of infection in the body. It is administered intramuscularly (IM) or intravenously (IV) under medical supervision. Ceftriaxone is commonly prescribed in hospitals for pneumonia, meningitis, urinary tract infections, typhoid fever, sepsis, abdominal infections, bone and joint infections, and post-operative infections. It is recommended only on a doctor’s prescription and should be given by trained medical personnel.
